The isopropanol market has recently been consolidating within a range, with relatively small price fluctuations. Domestic isopropanol production capacity is approximately 1.28 million tons/year, with an operating rate of around 75%. However, downstream consumption growth is lower than production growth, leading to a loose supply.

Demand remains stable in pharmaceutical intermediates (23%), electronic cleaning (20%), pesticides (18%), and organic synthesis (22%), but high-end electronic-grade isopropanol still relies on imports. Regarding exports, affected by India's anti-dumping policy, exports to India plummeted in the first quarter of 2025, with companies shifting to Southeast Asian markets such as Indonesia.
In the short term, the market is in a supply-demand balance, with relatively small price fluctuations, and is expected to maintain a range-bound trend. In the long term, with the global economic recovery and the expansion of downstream applications, the market size is expected to expand, but the issue of overcapacity still needs attention.
